Eileen Cheever, MPAS, PA-C, previews the SDPA Summer Dermatology Conference, calling it a can't-miss opportunity to learn, network, and reconnect.

As the 2025 SDPA Annual Summer Dermatology Conference gets underway in Washington, DC, dermatology physician assistant Eileen Cheever, MPAS, PA-C, is among the many clinical experts eager to reconnect with peers, dive into the latest research, and bring actionable insights back to practice.

Cheever, who has practiced as a dermatology PA since 2008, currently sees patients of all ages at Clearview Dermatology in central Massachusetts. “I practice family dermatology, so all ages and all stages,” she says.

Cheever will be leading a Sunday talk titled, “Facts about JAKs!” where she will discuss clinical pearls and advice for fellow clinicians to consider when implementing Janus kinase inhibitors in their treatment strategies.

In a preview of the conference, Cheever highlighted the unique opportunities SDPA offers attendees.

“I’m really looking forward to all the wonderful opportunities to see my colleagues and to be able to partake in a number of lectures that are on the conference program,” she said.

The summer meeting is known for its high-quality clinical sessions and tight-knit professional community. As the conference begins, Cheever says she is eager to gather pearls she can immediately apply in clinic, whether managing chronic inflammatory skin conditions or improving patient education strategies.

“It should be a great week,” she said. “I look forward to catching up and seeing both old faces and new, because SDPA is a great opportunity to meet up with everybody, as well as network, and learn a ton that you can bring home to use the next day when you’re back in clinic.”
